Changes to Policing and Police Budget Process in Ottawa
We have seconded a motion from Councillor McKenney at city council that seeks to have council call on the province to restore oversight powers to the city and to develop alternative models of non-police led community safety responses to 911 calls which do not involve weapons or violence, amongst other things.
